L'Eroica werd geinspireerd door het klassieke wielrennen en heeft als doel om de liefde voor de pracht van de wielersport te herontdekken. Door de jaren heen zijn de Eroica waarden over de hele wereld gedeeld. Waarbij nieuwe events zijn gecreeerd voor zowel vintage als moderne fietsen.

L'Eroica is in 1997 ontstaan in de provincie Siena, in het kleine dorpje Gaiole in Chianti. Begonnen als een retro wieler evenement, heden ten dage nemen de Eroica visie en waarden alleen maar verder toe binnen de retro en moderne wieler evenementen. Op de eerste zondag van oktober wordt sinds 1997 elk jaar de magie van het verleden weer opgewekt over de vele prachtige wegen in het Toscaanse landschap. Prachtige rustplekken, idylische ambiance alles klopt in de wereld van Eroica. Eroica is inmiddels over de hele wereld een begrip van Japan, California, Zuid-Afrika tot aan Zuid-Amerika. In elke editie waar ook ter wereld zijn de regels en waarde hetzelfde, je rijdt op een eroica waardige fiets die gebouwd is voor 1987 en e draagt de kleding uit dezelfde periode.

Race, rijdt en relax. Dat is het moto van NOVA Eroica, een toertocht voor moderne fietsen over de beroemde witte wegen waarin de waarden van Eroica zijn meegenomen. Het format van NOVA Eroica bestaat uit afwisselend getimede en niet getimede segmenten, die ons terugbrengen naar de tijden van Coppie en Bartali. NOVA Eroica is open voor moderne racefietsen, gravelfietsen en cyclocross fietsen. NOVA combineert competitie met plezier om met een groep in een vriendelijke sfeer de unieke Eroica amtmosfeer in te ademen.
