On the ancient white roads of transhumance you can enjoy a constantly changing landscape, from the green valleys covered with woods you go up to the sources, pastoral drinking troughs where fresh water gushes out, between the arid rocky contours of the highest peaks of the Apennines.

Further downstream, the villages of the Gran Sasso Park tell us about places and faces rich in history: Castel del Monte, Castelvecchio Calvisio, Barisciano, Calascio with its fortress, Santo Stefano di Sessanio, up to the majestic plain of Campo Imperatore and beyond 2,000 meters of the Pantani peak.
