MIDDLE ROUTE ODORIKO
The Middle Route is the main actor of Eroica Japan.
This route begins on the Amagi Kaido, which was the setting for Kawabata Yasunari's masterpiece "Izu no Odoriko" (The Dancing Girl of Izu).
After crossing the ancient Amagi pass, the route takes you to the rare loop bridge of "Kawazu Nanataru" and then to Matsuzaki-cho in the Kamo region, still have a traditional style of Japan. Strolling through the streets of Matsuzaki, lined with ancient houses with namako-walls, you will be reminded of the bustle of the past, and then head for the Nishi-Izu Skyline, where a magnificent view awaits you.
