MIDDLE ROUTE ODORIKO
The Mid-Route, the star of Eroica Japan. The route begins with the historic Amagi Kaido, the setting for the famous work *Izu no Odoriko* by Yasunari Kawabata. After crossing the Amagi Pass, the route takes you to the highlight, the *Kawazu Nanadaru* loop bridge, followed by the charming and historic Matsuzaki Town. From Matsuzaki, with its traditional *namako-kabe* houses, the route leads over the breathtaking Nishi-Izu Skyline to Suruga Bay. This route is a compact collection of the best sights of the Izu Peninsula, offering a challenging but rewarding ride that’s one of Eroica Japan’s most recommended routes. While solo riding may be tough, the excellent support will assist riders along the way. When you ride with friends, the struggles will be worthwhile, and the sense of achievement will be all the more rewarding. For those who are unsure about their route choice, ODORIKO is the challenge you need to take!
