Cuba 2025

It took the courage of the eroic to think of landing in Cuba with a cycling event of impact. Not only did we dare, the truth is that the result made us all proud of having been there: for the romantic suggestion of a small world that pursued dreams and sowed them everywhere, for the magnificence of an island that seems specifically made for the bicycle, above all from the respect for each user, very varied, of the road. And then the climate, the most beautiful February in the world for the bicycle, a perfect climate, a clear sea, like the eyes and the soul of many people from those places. We have brought, with Eroica Cuba, a message of peace and solidarity, all the more so at times when the leaders dictate an even more ironclad law than when the world was divided into blocks. And we have received the lesson that, at least periodically, it is very good to reflect among those who think that the reference parameter is always material well-being. In Cuba, a mild winter for cycling training, to try to untie some of the knots in the tangle of neuroses that the money-success spiral induces in many of us from the "rich" quarter of the world. We will return to Cuba Eroica on February 9, also to try to understand that the concept of wealth can be rewritten from the hearts of respectable people.
