Osvaldo Casanova and L'Eroica – a bond of stories and pedals

Osvaldo Casanova is much more than just an artist. Born in Lonigo, in the province of Vicenza, he has made visual storytelling the heart of his career. Illustrator, graphic designer, advertiser, and teacher of Graphic Design and the History of Advertising, Osvaldo transforms images and words into stories that pulse with passion.

But there is a special bond that connects him to L'Eroica – a bond born from shared values: authenticity, effort, beauty. Osvaldo has captured the essence of heroic cycling, made of dusty roads, steel frames, sweat, and glory.

With a style that blends nostalgia and modernity, he has painted for L'Eroica images that tell of epic rides, of men and women who challenge themselves and time. He has given visual form to the epic of cycling, turning every brushstroke into a pedal stroke on white gravel roads.

Osvaldo has collaborated with some of the most iconic brands in the world of sports, including UEFA, LR Vicenza, Le Coq Sportif, Dainese, and Adidas, but with L'Eroica there is something different – a connection of soul, born of respect for the past and a drive toward the future.

When not painting or drawing, Osvaldo talks about football, another of his great passions. He writes for dozens of specialized magazines, telling the stories of champions and fans, and never misses a chance to celebrate his love for Lanerossi Vicenza, The Clash, and English ales.

And so, each of his works for L'Eroica becomes a manifesto of authenticity, an invitation to live every ride as a journey through time, in search of the purest essence of cycling.

Osvaldo Casanova will be in Montalcino on Friday, May 23rd, at 5:00 pm in Piazza del Popolo to present his posters – a total of 12 created for Eroica events since 2016.

On this occasion, 9 posters created for the various editions of Eroica Montalcino will be exhibited, transforming the streets of the town into a captivating open-air gallery.
